sorry for not blogging the past couple of days. i was in canada (Calgary) for a work trip… took some clients to dinner and flew back the next day. pretty exhausting! when i got back, lu and i went to park and sixth for tuna burgers and some wine. unfortunately, i ordered the brussel sprout hash as a side … as i was eating it, i wasn’t recognizing a flavor (and with a refined palate such as my own, it’s highly unlikely that any taste is foreign to me – haha, i kid kid)….. THEN i looked into the hash and realized there was BACON in it! such deception…. anywho, after lu calmed me down, we finished dinner and headed to this new mexican restaurant that opened, Orale ….. it was literally opening night. pretty cool joint, but the michelada was a MEGA disappointment…. i ordered a tecate instead 🙂
what about the spicy-meat-a-balls, ali? well…. i don’t recommend this recipe if you’re NOT a vegetarian (i’m sorry, but i’ll admit, NOTHING tastes as good as regular meatballs)… or if you don’t have at least 1 hour and 15 minutes to cook. but, if that doesn’t apply to you, then cook away! i modified the recipe from the meatball shop in NYC, so major dibs to them!
