okay, so i’ll admit – i TOTALLY underestimated this whole running a marathon thing. i haven’t changed my diet/social lifestyle at all and i’m polishing off boxes of teddy grahams and staying up until 3:30am and devouring delicious raw cheese omelettes at that hour (thanks a lot, Lu). and so… i have to run 9 miles this weekend? WHAT?!
on week 8 (third week in july), i’m supposed to run a half marathon. i figured i’d just go out and run 13 miles. but hey, i’m in it for the marathon, so a half marathon will be a GREAT way to really rev myself up and kick myself into high gear.
so i OFFICIALLY signed up for the Chicago Rock and Roll Half-Marathon on sunday, july 22. and the best part: my mother is coming with me 🙂
bye bye teddy grahams. bye bye beer. hello 13.2 miles.
